The B-resilient project has earmarked 1.1 million euros to strengthen the biomass resilience of SMEs producing and processing foodstuffs through a green, digitized value chain. Here's a look back at the grants available to companies and the results achieved!
Financial support available to companies
Within the framework of this project, European SMEs can apply for 4 types of financial support via 2 calls. A single call for the mobility lump sum, enabled SMEs to travel to and attend the "European Biomass and Bioeconomy Summit" in Thessaloniki, Greece (May 22 & 23, 2023). Another "Acceleration" call combining BCP, INO and INT lump sums was launched on May 1, 2023.
Project winners
Last month, the team successfully evaluated the applications for the first tranche. Almost 55% of the total budget will be distributed. All SMEs have been notified and some are in the process of signing contracts.
Here is the information on each lump sum:
- Mobility lump sum: 22 winners.
- Acceleration lump sum:
- Innovation: 18 winners.
- Internationalization: 4 winners.
- Business continuity plan: 4 winners.
In summary, the result of B-Resilient's cascade funding to date (summer 2023) is 48 award-winning SMEs from 15 different regions representing 12 countries. This figure could change if any of the selected SME winners drop out during the contract period.
